Oscar Au

Oscar main research interests are on multimedia signal processing. In particular, coding and processing of both video and image, watermarking and light weight encryption, speech and audio processing. Research topics include fast motion estimation for MPEG-1/2/4, H.261/3/4 and AVS standards, optimal and fast sub-optimal rate control, mode decision, transcoding, denoising, deinterlacing, post-processing, multi-view coding, scalable video coding, distributed video coding, subpixel rendering, JPEG/JPEG2000, HDR imaging, compressive sensing, halftone image data hiding, GPU-processing, software-hardware co-design, etc.

On the audio/speech side, Oscar worked on speech characterization, speech recognition, acoustic modeling, robust recognition, channel/speaker adaptation, speaker identification and verification, variable speed audio/speech playback, time/frequency scale modification.

Professor Howard Luong

Research interest:
Ultra-high-speed and ultra-low-power analog and digital integrated

circuits:
high-performance analog-to-digital converters; VLSI digital signal processing and computer systems.

 

Professor Philip Mok

Research interest:
Analog integrated circuits for telecommunications; power integrated circuits; VLSI device, technology and circuit design.

 

Professor Amine Bermak

Research interest:
VLSI Circuits and Systems, Packaging technologies, CMOS image sensors, Smart vision Systems, VLSI implementation of Artificial Neural Networks.

 

Patrick FINK, VP Sales Marketing & founder of IDway

Patrick has nearly 20 years of experience in software having held various positions (engineer, consultant, marketing and sales director). Before creating IDway, Patrick worked for 5 years at SCM Microsystems (Nasdaq: SCMM) as European Sales & Marketing Director and then VP Sales & Marketing for Asia Pacific. Patrick graduated from Institut Sciences et Technologies (IST)

George Sanders

George has more than 20 years experience managing sales activities in Asia and living in Asia for several years.  Most recently he was with TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq: TQNT), and previously with VTC, Inc.  In more than 40 years in the electronics industry, he has held a wide variety of positions in Engineering, Sales and Marketing from Engineer to Vice President of Marketing.  George graduated from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, USA.
